I'm pretty sure that if we work in the sole pursuit of progress without any financial limits (living in a world where money is no longer what rules the world). By teaming up on a global scale, we could do all this without AI. We have abilities that AIs don't: intuition, imagination and creativity. The simple fact that this story was invented by a human and not an AI is proof of that. The human mind's capacity for imagination and innovation knows no bounds, as long as we allow ourselves to think.
PS This superb story makes me very keen to interact with such artificial intelligences. But the point is, until proven otherwise, the only real intelligence in this world is you, the other humans.
