Fascinating read! I am amazed by the vines in my garden. They appear to seek out structures to climb and then use their tentacles to attach themselves in an array of difficult circumstance. The intelligence of nature is infinite. It is preposterous for us to think we have the wisdom to alter the fundamental building blocks of life and still expect good things to happen.
Amazing. Modern tech pales in comparison to Biology's elegance and complexity. Quick shout-out to Sudanese civilization for independently discovering variolation too.
It's beetles in total not staphs that are 1/4 of all life. "Beetles are the poster child of evolutionary success: about 400,000 species are known—about a quarter of all described lifeforms"
I think plants or photosynthesis should have been in this list too :')
